Nurse Practitioner (NP):

AHS is hiring NPs with at least one-year experience in various settings. 

AHS Independent Contractors are offered exceptional rates of pay with full mileage reimbursements. Travel time is compensated per Provincial Guidelines. 

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be a Canadian RN (EP) in good standing with Professional licensing body.
• Current Registration of Master’s in Nursing with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification needed as per assigned work areas.

Other Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership skills, expertise, and in-depth knowledge consistent with advanced nursing practice
• Proficient clinical skills in assessment, physical examination and nursing intervention
• Knowledge, competence and ability to demonstrate clinical nursing skills and concepts in accordance with approved nursing standards
• Ability to make effective decisions regarding nursing care
• Basic knowledge and skills to work with computers, and electronic software programs
• Demonstrated effective problem solving, organizational skills, good work ethics and the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to maintain positive working environment with staff, clients and family members.
• Up to date immunization needed
